How it Works

You will need a wireless network set up on your home’s computer to download updates to your treadmill. The workouts with Jillian Michaels consists of 8-week programs starting at different intensity levels; for example, you don’t have to start at a beginner’s level if you are already advanced in your fitness. You can, of course, progress through all stages and follow the plan to achieve the best fitness of your life.

Follow these steps to access the iFit® Live interactive programming:

  • Plug in the iFit card to your laptop or PC. Go to iFit.com, register, and enter your personal profile and goals. This will help determine the personalized workout that will be downloaded to your treadmill’s computer. If you’ve recently purchased your treadmill from an ICON Fitness brand, you will have access to a year of free treadmill workouts with Jillian Michaels.
  • Now plug the card into your treadmill’s iFit port. Via your home’s wireless internet connection, the module will upload and download information for your training.
  • Press START and follow the workout. The treadmill’s incline and speed will be automatically adjusted for you.

2021 UPDATE: Most treadmills these days have iFit built right into the machine to be accessed on the treadmill itself or via your tablet.  Only the cheap models still have iFit cards.

The weekly workout planner details the exercise for each day. After a session is completed, the workout stats will be uploaded to your account at iFit.com where the stats are compiled to show your progress in real time.

Another cool feature of the treadmill workouts with Jillian Michaels is the chance to use the interactive Google Maps which provide virtual routes of runs and hill climbs from all over the world, from participating in the Boston marathon to running along hills and beaches of popular destinations.

There is also an online support system so that users can discuss issues with others going through the same program.
